The traditional way to roast something is inside an oven. It is often faster when cooking poultry, fish, and other types of meat. When you roast your meat the correct way you are ensuring that it will be tender and juicy for your meal. Only the most tender of meats can be enjoyed to the fullest.

The first thing you want to do when roasting is to preheat your oven to a high temperature. This helps to prevent any juices from being lost from the meat and helps to caramelize the marinade that you have used.

After it has been cooking for 15 – 20 minutes lower the temperature and continue to cook until it is completely finished. Some meats will require that you baste it in order to keep it from drying out. Try basting it every 10 minutes.

Make sure that the pan you are cooking your meat in is just the right size. If it is too big the food could burn. If it is too small it could stick to the sides of the pan and we all know how difficult that is too clean.
